Your browsing preferences
MovieWatcher uses browser storage for saved title identifiers, manual episode checkpoints, selected viewing country, theme preference and a short recently browsed title list. These features do not require a MovieWatcher account. The stored list belongs to this browser profile and is not automatically shared with another device.
Changing or removing stored choices
Use a title's save control to remove it from the Watchlist and its checkpoint control to clear a series reminder. The recently browsed page has a history-clearing control. Browser settings can also remove this site's data, but that can remove preferences and saved items together. Make a list backup first if you want to keep those reminders.
Images and external destinations
Movie artwork is loaded from TMDB image servers. Following Watch now opens JustWatch for your selected country; proceeding to a viewing service is a separate step. Those destinations apply their own privacy and account settings. A title you open here does not automatically tell us whether you later watch it elsewhere.
Keep backups where you control them
The list-backup feature produces text you can copy yourself. It does not send that text to an account or synchronize it in the background. Treat a backup as a record of your entertainment choices and store it accordingly. See the backup instructions for the restore behavior.
